Tea Biscuits

2 c. flour
4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
blend in
1/2 cup shortening
Add
1 cup milk

Knead gently 10 to 15 times. (too much kneading will make them tough)
Roll out (about 1 inch thick) and cut with floured glass.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet and cook at 425 for 15 min.
Makes about 20 biscuits.

Cheese: add 3/4 cup grated cheddar before adding milk.

Red lobster bun hack : Make biscuits with cheese. Instead of rolling the dough out, use a tablespoon to create drop biscuits (Scoop up some dough, and drop on a parchment lined baking sheet). Bake. Remove from oven an cover equally in butter mix (see below). Serve warm

Butter mix:
1/4 c butter
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp garlic

Melt butter, and add rest of ingredients.
